31st Annual Penn Medicine at Radnor Run

On the last Sunday in October for over 30 years, the community of Radnor comes together for the annual Penn Medicine at Radnor Run, an event benefiting the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania.  According to Anita Sayers, Director of Marketing for The Radnor, “The Radnor Hotel has been a supporter of the American Lung Association, its mission, and this event for the past 15 years. When we first opened Glenmorgan Bar & Grill in 2002, we were the first bar on the Main Line to be smoke-free.

Shortly following this decision, The Radnor Hotel became a 100% smoke-free environment. This decision proved to be well received by all our foreign and domestic travelers alike. We’re very pleased to partner with the American Lung Association for the Radnor Run.” With almost 700 participants at the 2008 run, the Radnor Run raised over $74,000 to support research and programs of the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania.

As the sun begins to appear on this early morning in October, The Radnor’s Toy Soldier leads charge with warm-up calisthenics getting the group of runners ready for the 5 mile race and 1 mile fun run.

18 members strong, Team Radnor, comprising of The Radnor Hotel staff and family show up for the 31st Annual Penn Medicine at Radnor Run on Sunday, October 26, 2008. The Radnor Hotel is a sponsor of this event benefiting the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania.
