On Tuesday June 11, 2013, The Main Line Chamber Foundation hosted “A Celebration of Hometown Heroes” and presented $39,000 in scholarships to 24 Main Line volunteer Firefighters and EMTs. The 100th Anniversary of the Llanerch Fire Company was also marked with a presentation by David Brennan, Wayne Hotel General Manager and Foundation Board member.

Established in 2001, The Main Line Chamber Foundation is dedicated to their mission of (1) awarding scholarships to local volunteer firefighters and EMTs, (2) supporting area high school juniors attending PA Free Enterprise Week summer camp, and (3) assisting members’ employees participating in the Chamber’s Leadership Main Line program.
To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to deserving Main Line recipients. The Foundation’s funding has come primarily from The Main Line Run event held each year in September. This year’s Main Line Run takes place in Wayne on September 22, 2013.
