Longwood Gardens Wine & Jazz Festival 2012 Recap

Thousands of people turned out to sample fine wines and listen to great music at Longwood Gardens‘ 6th Annual Wine & Jazz Festival on Saturday, June 2nd.  The afternoon featured over 20 local wineries and an impressive lineup of Jazz artists including Grammy-Award winner Dianne Reeves.

Paramour took center stage for two cooking demonstrations. First, Executive Chef Michael Giampa taught an eager crowd how to make the signature Hawaiian dish, Tuna Poke. The lucky attendees were offered a sample of the mixture of fresh ahi tuna, compressed watermelon, macadamia nuts and wakame salad. Later that afternoon, Pastry Chef Amelia Dietrich prepared her popular Paramour dessert, Steamed Lemon Pudding Cake. The proof was in the pudding as guests were coming back for second and third samples of the light lemony dessert. After the presentations, each Chef answered questions and mingled with the guests enjoying the rest of the festivities.

In case you missed the demonstrations, Paramour has saved you the recipe cards! Try your hand at the Tuna Poke and Steamed Lemon Pudding Cake with the recipes published on their blog.
