It was a picture perfect day for a pig roast at Paramour yesterday, September 16th, 2012. A sellout crowd of “Swine Diners” gathered on the Veranda and noshed on Kobe Sliders, Kobe Dogs and sampled four handcrafted brews by Yards Brewing Company as Executive Chef, Michael Giampa and Chef de Cuisine, Kyle Johnson finished slow roasting two whole, locally raised pigs in traditional Cuban-style roasting boxes on the front lawn of the Wayne Hotel.
It wasn’t long before guests were winding their way through Paramour’s gardens to make their selection from the perfectly roasted pork, hand carved and served by the chefs themselves. Chef Michael and Kyle offered not only generous portions of the succulent swine, but also some insight and helpful tips to inquisitive guests.
An abundance of BBQ classic side dishes were waiting on the Veranda buffet style including homemade corn bread, Jersey Silver Queen Corn, baked beans and salads jam-packed with summer veggies. Doug Mashington of Yards Brewing Company was on hand to tell guests about the brews and recommend the proper pairings for the pork and side dishes. Guests finished off the meal with Paramour’s signature brownie bites and banana pudding cups and walked away with a few Yards giveaways.
Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the late summer weather with Paramour for their first Swine Dining Pig Roast event! For info on more upcoming events at Paramour, please sign up for their newsletter, like them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter for updates.
