Paramour’s 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby Party Recap

Crossing the Finish Line

Paramour at the Wayne Hotel was the place to be for the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby. This past weekend, a fun and fashionable crowd kicked off the outdoor dining season and celebrated the Run for the Roses in style out on the Veranda and in the Lobby Lounge on Saturday afternoon at Paramour’s 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby Party.

Mint Juleps and wines by glass were served, along with an assortment of savory hors d’oeuvres such as Salmon Tartare with Cucumber-Watercress Ice, Buckwheat Noodle & Crab Salad with Crispy Rice, Bourbon-Sugar-Glazed Bacon Sticks with Parmesan Puffs, and Rare Roast Beef Sliders with Horseradish Cream. Specially prepared sweets followed soon after with bite-size treats like Hummingbird Cupcakes, Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies, and Strawberry Shortcakes.

Party guests came dressed to impress and had fun flaunting their finest Derby fashion in front of the judges for the chance to win the “Best Dressed for the Derby” Contest. The winning men and women were awarded prize options of $100 gift certificates to Paramour, Jay Michael Salon and Sherman Brothers Shoes, as well as bottles of wine and the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby, Woodford Reserve.

As post time drew near, guests gathered around TV’s in the Bistro Bar, Lobby Lounge and out on the Veranda to watch the Fastest Two Minutes in Sports. Clearly, there were some California Chrome fans in attendance.

Paramour and the Radnor Conservancy would like to thank all of the party guests who purchased tickets to this charitable event. You helped make it another fun Kentucky Derby Party and a successful fundraiser, raising over $4,600 for the Radnor Conservancy.
